A 60-year-old woman died Sunday night after being shot inside her Fair Oaks home, and her husband now faces a murder charge, according to Fairfax County police.
Officers were called to the 12000 block of Washington Brice Road around 10:21 p.m. after a 911 dispatcher heard what sounded like a disturbance before the call cut off. A second call came in around 10:39 p.m. When police arrived, they found Chisen Jameson suffering from gunshot wounds to her upper body. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her husband, Leland Jameson, was taken into custody at the house. He has been charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is currently being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Police reports list his age as either 60 or 64, depending on the outlet.

Fairfax County police said the couple was alone in the home when the shooting happened and that there is no continuing danger to the surrounding community.
Detectives are still interviewing witnesses and reviewing evidence gathered from the scene as they try to piece together what led up to the shooting.
